Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become licensed?
Licensing usually begins by choosing the license type you want, confirming your state requirements, completing any required education, passing required assessments or exams, and submitting an application to the state insurance department. Mosaic CE helps organize the education and guidance side of that process so learners understand what steps come next.
How long does licensing take?
The course is self-paced; most people finish in a couple weeks. Full licensing (course, fingerprints, application) typically takes 3–6 weeks.
What does licensing cost?
Costs vary by state and license type. Common costs may include course tuition, exam fees, fingerprinting, background checks, and state application fees. Each state-specific licensing page should list the confirmed costs once they are finalized.
Do all states have the same requirements?
No. Each state establishes its own licensing rules, education standards, exam requirements, application process, and renewal obligations. That is why licensing information should always be reviewed by state and license type before enrollment.
Can I complete licensing online?
Yes, online and self-paced on any device.
What happens after course completion?
After completing the Insurance Adjuster Pre-License course, here’s what to expect:
- Internal Exam / Mosaice CE Exam (70%)
- Certificate of Completion
- Fingerprinting
- License Application
- License Approval
How do I maintain my license?
Most insurance licenses require continuing education and renewal by the state’s deadline. Once licensed, you should review your state’s CE requirements and renewal cycle so you remain compliant and avoid late renewal issues.
What if I already hold a license?
If you are already licensed, you may not need a new licensing course. You may need continuing education, license renewal support, or additional credentials depending on your goals. Mosaic CE can support renewal through its continuing education catalog.
What a Texas All Lines Adjuster License lets you do?
The all lines license lets you handle any line of coverage, residential and commercial property, auto, inland and ocean marine, farm and ranch, workers’ comp, and catastrophe claims.
What the course covers?
Insurance fundamentals, claims-handling procedures, ethics, and the policy types you’ll work with (homeowner, condo, commercial, auto, flood, marine), plus Texas-specific statutes. The Texas Insurance Code and the Administrative Code rules governing adjuster conduct. At least 30 of the 40 hours are delivered as classroom-equivalent coursework, per TDI.
Already a Texas adjuster? You need CE, not pre-licensing
If you’re already licensed, you don’t need this course — you need 24 hours of continuing education every two years (including 3 hours of ethics) to renew. Texas Adjuster CE
